You may have noticed itty-bitty advertisements in between posts. Unfortunately, the folks who run this site (the lovely @jackie and @peter) have been forced by financial circumstances to put advertisements on Tea Trade. All the free blogs (like mine) will have advertisements for the time being.

I respect their desicion, and an ad-riddled (“riddled” is too strong a word, possibly) Tea Trade is better than no TeaTrade at all. I still feel like I must clarify that I do not endorse any of the companies or products featured in the advertisements. Eventually I will move over to a paid blog and there won’t be any more advertisements.

I hope that Tea Trade will continue to live and grow as a community, and if part of that involves advertising, well, it could be a lot worse. @jackie and @peter have done a lot of darn hard work to make this site a welcoming place for tea lovers, and I support their decision even if I don’t like it.

SO THERE

Apparently what I see in the ads is not what you see. I see what I’m supposedly interested in and you see well, not sure what you see? That could be good news is you’re wondering if we’re all looking at subscription offers to Gentlemen’s magazines..:P
Joking aside, yea – sigh. Thank you. It is really getting quite costly and it does come out of our somewhat shallow pockets.

The ads are based on the profile google has of the viewer and the page. TeaTrade ore the blogger are not able (I strongly think) to see which ads are shown. They only get a summary of number of ads shown and clicked and of course the money (if I’m told correctly).

I keep seeing an advert for a calming mediation CD – how can that possibly be tailored to me? I AM CALM DAMMIT!
